Presentation
of Certificates to successful candidates.
Course Test:
Dog must be presented in good
condition, clean and groomed.
Dog must remain calm for physical
examination and light groom by evaluator.
Dog must walk on a loose leash for at
least 40 paces and must complete a left turn, right turn and about turn.
Dog must perform a sit and down
command when instructed.
On instruction from handler, dog must
perform a sit or down, handler will leave the dog and walk away about 20 paces,
face the dog and call him, dog must return to handler and sit in front.
Dog sits while handler opens door and
enters before the dog.
Two dogs with their handlers will approach
from opposite directions, pause, engage in light conversation and continue on
their way.
Dog and handler must mingle in a
group of at least 5 people. Dog must remain calm and approachable.
Dog and handler will walk along a
roadway. Dog must remain calm and under control when traffic approaches, e.g.
cars, cyclists or joggers etc.
Dog must remain calm under minor
distractions, e.g. car horns, umbrella being opened, object being dropped,
person approaching on crutches/wheelchair.
Dog must remain calm when tied to
secure post with handler out of sight for 2 minutes.
