of Certificates to successful candidates.
Course Test:
Dog must be presented in good
condition, clean and groomed.
Dog must walk on a loose leash for
about 40 paces; make a left turn, right turn and about turn.
Dog and handler must mingle in a
group of at least 5 people and be calm and approachable.
Dog must perform a sit and down
exercise when instructed to do so by handler.
Handler will instruct the dog to
perform a sit/down exercise. Handler
will walk 15 paces away, turn and face the dog and re-call the dog.
Dog and handler will approach a
door/gate. Dog must sit on command, Handler to enter door/gate before the dog.
Dog and handler will walk along a
public footpath. Dog must remain calm when traffic approaches, e.g. cars,
cyclists or joggers.
Two dogs with their handlers will
approach each other from opposite directions, pause and engage in light
conversation for about 15-20 seconds then continue on their way.
